The Islam Which No One is Talking About

Islam is an evil and corrupt religion.  Voices ring loudly positing that Islam is a peaceful religion which has been highjacked by radical extremist.  This is in fact not true!  Although Muslims are not evil and corrupt people, they are deceived by hate-filled rhetoric and doctrine which extols killing.

From their founding up until this present-day Islam has continued its pejorative teaching against all who refuse and reject this religion.  Islam is hostile to all other religions; this hostility can be traced back to their founding and their founder. 

From their Middle East roots to growth around the world, Islam has misled a plethora of individuals.  This will be demonstrated by an intense investigation of their historical roots, examining their founder of the religion and through looking at their religious scripture.

Some Islamic activists protest such a caricature by pointing to flimsy evidence which indicates Islam is a peaceful and serene religion.  The peace-making of former Egyptian President Sadat, leader of a predominantly Muslim country, with Israel, late King Hussein’s peace agreement with Israel, during Gulf War I Islamic nations like Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Jordan joined with Western states to win the war are cited as evidence of Islam being a good religion.[1]   It should be noted, however, all these were political decisions made for their own self-interest of each country.  Further, this proves that Muslims are not evil, but their religion teaches individuals to practice debauchery.  This debased philosophy disguised as a ‘peaceful’ religion will be shown as nothing more than an evil monster growing out of control.  

Some may object to such vituperative language, but the evidence speaks volumes.  It was Muslims which took Americans hostage in Beirut, Lebanon in 1980; it was Muslims  who bombed the World Trade Center in 1992; it was Muslims who bombed the USS Cole; it was Muslims who bombed the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001; it was Muslims who bombed the trains in Madrid, Spain on March 11, 2004; it was Muslims who bombed a night club in Indonesia; it was Muslims that bombed trains in London on July 7, 2005; it was Muslims responsible for riots which saw many suburbs of Paris, France looted and burned  on October 27, 2005.  This evidence is undeniable.  Whereas Christianity preaches that God is love (I John 4:8) Islam preaches the opposite.  The roots of this vitriol can be dated back to their founding. 

THE FOUNDING OF ISLAM

The state of Christianity at the time of Mohammed perpetuated the rise of Islam.  One scholar writes, “The success of Islam sprang essentially from the failure of Christian theologians to solve the problem of the Trinity and Christ nature.”[2]  Arab Christianity did invade heathenism usually in the form of Monophysitism.[3]   Pope Gregory the Great turned away from the eastern Mediterranean and sought to expand the power of the papacy to the west.  This would leave a vacuum in the east which a new movement would fill; it would be filled by a prophet which contrived a totally new religion. 

Islam traces its heritage back to the prophet Muhammad. 

Muhammad was born in the city of Mecca in Arabia in 570 AD.  The tribe in which Muhammad was born into was to be in charge of the Ka’aba, a large stone used in the offerings to pagan deities.  Abdallah, Muhammad’s father, died before his son was born and Amina, Muhammad’s mother, died when he was only six years of age.[4]  Then for about two years until his grandfather’s death, Muhammad was reared by his grandfather.  Then an uncle assumed custody of the young boy. One Muslim scholar says, “With all of the calamities that befell Muhammad, he lived a normal childhood, except he never participated in the pagan activities of Meccan life.”[5] Muhammad would travel extensively with his uncle.  Once a Christian monk noticed his spirituality.[6]  As a young man at the age of twenty-five Muhammad’s employer[7] Khadijah offered to marry Muhammad.  By all accounts they had a good marriage although their two sons died in infancy while two of their four daughters died as well.  While married to Khadijah, Muhammad would spend much time on ‘retreats’ in solitude which was commonplace in his lineage.[8]  When Muhammad was fifty the love of his life, Khadijah, to whom he was married to for twenty-five years died.[9]  Muhammad would later have eleven wives.  One of Muhammad’s wives was six when he married her and they consummated the marriage when she was nine.[10]  Although many laud and extol Islam as a peaceful religion with a pristine prophet, they either ignore or are not aware of the child molesting which the Prophet Muhammad did.  This cannot be a peaceful and pristine religion!

Starting in 610-622 Muhammad had a series of revelations.  These revelations were shared first with his wife Khadijah and his closest to him.  In the years between 595 and 610 are known as the ‘Silent Years’ of Muhammed.  The Koran details this interval in dreams, his commission and his calling to arise and warn.[11]  Then in June of 610 A.D. while meditating in a cave located in the mount of Light which overlooks the plain of Arafat near Mecca he had a vision.  One scholar demonstrates the mental stability of Muhammad when he writes, “Fear and despair came to him.  He experienced doubts and contemplated suicide.  Khadijah reasoned with him that it was an angel and not a devil.”[12]  He goes further to add, “Encouraged by Khadijah and Waraqah,[13] Muhammad accepted his visions at Mount Hira as being from God.”[14]  These doubts expressed by Muhammad along with the fact that it took his cousin and wife to convince him they were ‘of God’ should leave any student of Islam with skepticism over any of his visions.[15]  It should be pointed out from a biblical perspective, Jesus never ‘contemplated’ suicide’ yet Jesus always knew the difference between God and Satan’s revelations. 

There would be a series of revelations between 610-622 which would lead to his being persecuted by different Christian groups and eventually fleeing from Mecca to Medina.[16]  This took place on July 16, 622 and is known as the Hegira or the Flight to Medina.  During this prolific flight Muhammed’s two-hundred-mile trip south became the beginning of the Islamic Calendar.  Muhammed and Abu Bakr hid in caves for three nights until they arrived safely in Medina.  The prophet and his message were accepted in the area which was traditionally a Jewish monotheistic region.  While here Muhammad attempted to deceive the people by engaging in the Jewish customs of the day.  Islamic scholars Emir and Ergun Caner state, “the prophet quickly acclimated himself to the cultural customs of Judaism.”[17].  This led to turmoil between the Jewish and the Arab tribes along with hostility from the emigrants (or Muhajirun) as well as the natives (Ansar).  Due to such feelings Muhammad found it impossible to make a living.  He and his followers would resort to criminal activity to find their means of financial support, since Muhammad could not survive financially in the caravan business. The Muslims began raiding other caravans for financial gain.  “They felt justified since their enemies had expelled them from their houses; they were fighters in the cause of Allah.”[18]  Muhammad persisted with the vitriol.  He claimed the Jews were idolaters and the Jews were attacked by his followers.  They were forced to pay taxes to Muhammad.  As a result, Muhammad profited from Jewish wealth which was either captured or ceased.[19] Such behavior is hardly the characteristics of an obedient prophet which is peaceful and surrendered to God as the name Islam suggests. 

In March of 624 the Muslims engaged in a battle at Badr.  This small group of Muslims fought against the young community at Mecca and was victorious.  During this battle, Muhammed led three hundred people in a raid against a large band of merchants.  It is believed that the loot stolen by them was equivalent to fifty thousand dollars today.[20].  In response, the Meccan officials sent a crew of nine hundred to defeat this band of Muslims.  Instead, the groups of Muslims were victorious losing only fourteen men while the Meccans lost forty-five men with seventy being taken captive.  Muhammed contributed this victory to Allah.  In order to get more men to fight with him, Muhammed revealed the words of Allah which he spoke to his messenger, “O’ Apostle!  Arouse the believers to fight, if there are twenty among you. . . they will vanquish two hundred, if there are a hundred, they will vanquish a thousand of the unbelievers.” (Surah 8:65)[21]  Once again, hardly the actions of a peaceful and holy prophet.  While here in Medina, Muhammad developed a constitution which espoused stipulations about waging war, paying blood ransoms and ransoming captives. 

While in Medina, Muhammad built a Mosque, formulated into clear principles his revelations given to him by Allah and administered the religious, political, economic and legal affairs of the Medinas, and counseled the people.  All was not rosy for the Muslims.  In 625 they lost the battle of Uhud against the Meccans near Medina. 

In 626 he married two widows who lost their husbands in battle.  In 627 he married Zaynab his cousin.  During this time, an Arabic confederacy force of ten thousand fought the Muslims in Medina.  The Meccans saw their inability and withdrew leaving the Jews without protection.  Muhammad seeing this opening, engaged in a savage act of exterminating the last Jewish tribe in the region by killing the men and taking the women and children into slavery.  In 630 Muhammad returned to Mecca with such a large number of followers the Meccans did not resist his return.  The Ka’ba was purged of its idols and from then to the prsent it has served as the epicenter of the Islamic piety.  Muhammad would return to Medina which he kept as the political and spiritual center of Islam.  While there, campaigns were planned to spread the faith of Islam.  Then in the eleventh year of the Muslim religion, Muhammad made a final visit to Mecca and the Ka’ba.  As he realized the end was near, he gave a final instruction to his followers that he would meet them ‘at the fountain in paradise’.  Although Muhammad left no clear instructions concerning his successor, his friend Abu Bakr was elected as the first Caliph (successor); a split would take place an Muhammad’s cousin Ali would become a Caliph as well [22]. 

Islam cannot only be seen as an evil religion because of the founder Muhammad but also because Arabs trace their heritage back to Abraham’s son Ishmael.  Genesis 16:12 says, “And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brothers.”    The word ‘be’ is a Qal imperfect.  The word ‘wild’ literally means ‘wild donkey’.[23].  The donkey was the most universal of all animals in Palestine.  Men would ride them to their day’s work, plough the fields, thresh out his corn, carry home the harvest or use the donkey to carry firewood and a plethora of other usages.[24] In other words, Ishmael would be defiant, unruly and hostile to every man.  The word ‘hand’ used here in this text is a masculine noun meaning slaughter.[25]  The word means hand or strength.[26]  More precisely the word means the terminal part of the arm used to preform functions of man’s will.[27]  The word frequently is used in the Old Testament literally and figuratively.  It is used in this sense to indicate power and strength.[28] The word  ‘presence’ used twenty-one hundred times in the Old Testament is a masculine noun meaning ‘face, countenance, position before or in front of’.[29] From a cursory exegesis of the words within the text it is transparent that Ishmael would be a wild donkey with his strength and power toward every man and would dwell in the face of his brothers.  Therefore, all Arabs not only have a violent nature due to this verse yet when mixed with the evils of Islam elucidates a deadly combination.  Morris points this out when he states, “The long history of the Arab people, who are descended from Ishmael, is an obvious commentary on the fulfillment of this ancient prophecy”.[30]  Not only does their history and their linage testify to this but so does the teaching of Islam. 

Teaching of Islam

The teachings of Islam are quite vitriolic in nature.  There is a cabal which would like the average person to believe that Wahhabism is the radical fanatical form of Islam which is drastically different from orthodox Islam.  Yet, this is anything but the truth.  Drs. Ergun and Emir Canar, former Muslims and now Christians, state, “Muslims believe that they received forgiveness for all their sins only by fighting in Jihad”.[31]It is the Quran and not the teachings of Wahhabism which states,

Fighting is prescribed upon you, and you dislike it.  It is possible that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you love a thing which is bad for you.  But Allah knows and you know not. . . Tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter  (surah 2:216). 

Yet the Quran states again: 

Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the last Day, nor hold that forbidden which has been forbidden by Allah and his Messenger, nor acknowledge the Religion of Truth, from among the people of the Book, until they pay compensation with willing submission and feel themselves subdued (surah 9:29). 

We further see:

Believers when you go abroad to fight wars in the cause of Allah, investigate carefully and say not to anyone who offers you peace: ‘you are not a believer’ seeking and coveting the chance profits of this life.  With Allah are abundant profits, plentiful spoils and booty. 

Craig Winn shows the correct paraphrase of this verse when he states, “Muslims when you leave Arabia to fight and rob those who don’t worship me don’t accept a peace offering and leave a potential victim alone.  Rather conqueror them for therein lies the greatest potential for profit”.[32]

            The Hadith states, “Muhammad said, I was shown the Hell-fire and the majority of the dwellers are women.”  It goes on to say women are a bad omen for men, “Bad omen is in the women, the house and the horse. . . after me, I have not left any affliction more harmful to men than women” (Hadith 7:30, 33). Notice these references are not from any Wahhabis but from the very writings of Islam which all Muslims read, believe and teach to others.   The suppression of women in Islam is not a matter of Wahhabi teaching but that of the Quran.  Surah 2:228 states, “Women shall have rights similar to the rights against them, according to what is equitable; but men have a degree over them.”  This is defended by Hadith 3.826 which says, “Muhammad asked some women, ‘Isn’t the witness of a women equal to that of half of a man?’  The woman said, ‘Yes.’  He said, ‘This is because of the deficiency of the woman’s mind.’” Muhammad when speaking to a group of women stated a similar idea when he said in Hadith 2.541, “I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you.”  Muhammad thus believed that women were inferior to men both legally and genetically.  One Islamic scholar aptly states, “Islam teaches that women are inherently inferior to men.”[33]  They further state, “Muslim apologists have a difficult time defending Islamic doctrines regarding gender and sexuality. . . .Some Quran text are a public nightmare in societies conditioned by the feminist movement to assume gender equality.  

Conclusion

Regardless of the spin elucidated by the cabal of the politically correct, Islam is an evil and corrupt religion.  A plethora of evidence demonstrates this clearly.  Muhammad was a man of carnal passion.  He fought many wars during his life acting as a raider stealing booty from caravans.  Although he originally attempted to appease the Jews, he would eventually seek to separate himself from them and use pejorative language toward them issuing a heavy tax on them if they chose to keep their religious faith.  Muhammad’s use of biblical characters like the angel Gabriel, Abraham and Ishmael reveals his Monophysite Christianity intermingled with his revelations from Allah.  It is transparent to all who read the Bible and the Quran that one book teaches ‘love thy neighbor’ while the other teaches ‘kill thy neighbor if he is an unbeliever’.  Jesus’ background and the teachings of Christianity are diametrically opposed to those of Islam.  Anyone who truly investigates the facts, shunning all rhetoric, will plainly see Islam is a religion that has evil ideologies either towards unbelievers or toward women.  Any perspicuous person will understand this.  One point should be emphasized.  The teaching listed above, although not all the hatred dispelled by Islam, comes not from radicals known as Wahhabis but from the very writing Muslims hold sacred i.e. the Quran and Hadith etc.  Hence, the evidence cannot be denied.  When someone truly investigates the Islamic religion, its history, founder, and teaching they will discover Islam is indeed a evil and corrupt religion.[34]

[15]      The mental status of Muhammad is never addressed by those who advocate his religion.  Jesus never had to be convinced by anyone who sent ‘revelations’ to him.  Therefore, Muhammad should be doubted. 

[16]      Due to his rhetoric, many called Muhammad a lunatic, a liar or demon possessed.  Attempted assassinations occurred.  This persecution climaxed when in 620 Muhammad professed to have been translated into heaven where he met all the major prophets including Moses.

[34]      Some suggest that Radical Islam is evil and corrupt, yet it has been shown that Islam on its surface is evil and corrupt.  Although all religions have radical teachings, the Islamic religion at its core is a radical religion.  Any cursory study of Islam will indicate this.
